Sian Williams' Epic Multi-Frosted Cake!!

Why make this incredible cake...?! Well... as you will see as you read on... this perfect base sponge is extremely multi purpose!!. Using... lets be honest... the best snacks known to mankind... Sian has created a multitude of masterpieces!!

Warning... if you are on a diet... close your browser now!! There will be no discussion of Macros here today!! First rule of 'Cake Club'... there is no macros!

Right lets get down to the important bit...

The Cake

INGREDIENTS (Chocolate Cake):-

263g self raising flour
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
225g caster sugar
1.5 tsp bicarbonate soda
3 eggs
225ml sunflower oil
225ml semi skimmed milk
3 Tbsp golden syrup 

METHOD:-

1. Mix all dry dry ingredients (sifted)...

2. Make a well in the middle and add all wet ingredients...

3. Mix well in a mixer until all incorporated and you have a smooth mixture (will be quite runny)...

4. Divide into 3 tins and cook at 180C for about 24 mins (will vary depending on the oven) would also recommend turning half way through to get an even bake but don't open the oven for too long because the middle will sink! 

So... now you can use the above cake recipe... and start going crazy with the toppings!!


OREO - COOKIES & CREAM CAKE!!

Ingredients:- 

12 Oreos
250g unsalted butter
480g icing sugar
150g white chocolate melted and cooled
Milk as needed

Method:-

1. Blend the Oreos to crumbs using a food processor...

2. Beat the butter until soft...

3. Gradually add the icing sugar, beating until mixed...

4. Add the white chocolate and beat until combined, if the mixture is too stiff add a little milk...

5. Mix in the crushed Oreos...

6. Layer between each of the cakes and then cover the outside of the cake smoothing off with a pallet knife!

REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CAKE!!

Ingredients:- 

295g cream cheese
115g unsalted butter
500g icing sugar
200g peanut butter

Method:-

1. Beat cream cheese and butter together until soft...

2. Gradually sift in and beat the icing sugar until incorporated...

3. Beat the the peanut butter until incorporated and smooth...

4. Layer between each of the cakes and then cover the outside of the cake smoothing off with a pallet knife!

KINDER BUENO / NUTELLA CAKE!!

Ingredients:-

175g unsalted butter
250g icing sugar
3 Tbsp Nutella (or more - to taste)
Milk

Method:-

1. Beat butter until soft...

2. Add in and beat icing sugar until incorporated...

3. Beat in Nutella until incorporated...

4. Add milk as need to get spreadable consistency...

5. Layer between each of the cakes and then cover the outside of the cake smoothing off with a pallet knife!

CHOCOLATE & CARAMEL CAKE!!

Ingredients:-

150g unsalted butter
350g icing sugar
6 Tbsp cocoa powder
Milk as needed 

Method:-

1. Beat butter until soft...

2. Gradually sift in and eat icing sugar and cocoa powder and gradually add milk to make the consistency spreadable...

3. Layer between each of the cakes and then cover the outside of the cake smoothing off with a pallet knife!

CHOCOLATE GANACHE!!

Ingredients:-

100g milk, dark or white chocolate
100g double cream

Method:-

(Make sure the frosted cake has cooled in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.)

1. Heat double cream gently over the hob until it bubble slightly at the edges...

2. Removed from the heat and stir in the chocolate until fully melted and incorporated...

3. Leave to cool a little...

4. Remove cake from fridge...

5. Spoon ganache into the centre and slowly tease it to the edges...

6. Spoon additional ganache to encourage longer drips where desired...

7. Put back in the fridge to set slightly before topping with allllll of the goodies!!
